The Alcatraz East Crime Museum has a fascinating new exhibit about the story of Bonnie and Clyde, the infamous duo who committed numerous bank robberies during the Great Depression! The duo gained an incredible amount of media attention in the 1930s as a result of their bank robberies and other crimes, eventually becoming celebrities despite the fear they struck in civilians and law enforcement! This new exhibit takes a look behind the headlines to reveal more about the story, including information about Bonnie and Clyde’s childhoods and the events that led them to a life of crime.

Some of the items you can expect to see include an original Bonnie and Clyde Wanted Poster, Clyde Barrow payroll slips, and a first edition copy of Fugitives: The Story of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker by Clyde’s sister Nell Barrow Cowan. You’ll also have a chance to see tile from Lancaster Bank, which was the only bank that the gang robbed in Texas!

The Bonnie and Clyde exhibit is included with your admission to the Alcatraz East Crime Museum, which also includes access to all of the museum’s permanent exhibits and artifacts.
