Top 6 Things to Do in Pigeon Forge with Kids
Pigeon Forge, TN is one of the most kid-friendly vacation destinations in the country! Our Smoky Mountain city is loaded with awesome attractions that are fun for both children and adults. To help you make the most of your next getaway, All Season Suites has put together a guide to six of the best things to do in Pigeon Forge with kids.
1. WonderWorks
It’s hard to miss WonderWorks when you’re driving down the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, since the entire building is upside down! Billed as an “indoor amusement park,” WonderWork is filled with over 100 hands-on exhibits that your kids are sure to love. Guests will have the chance to experience a simulated earthquake, sit on a bed of 3,500 nails, and move a ball using their mind.
2. The Track
The Track offers amusement park-style fun right in the heart of the city. The centerpiece of this attraction is the Wild Woody, a three-story go-kart track that is filled with twists and turns. In addition to go-karts, The Track also features mini golf, bumper cars, blaster boats, bungee jumping, kiddie rides, and an arcade. With so many great activities, it’s easy to spend the whole day at The Track.
3. MagiQuest
Visiting MagiQuest is another one of the best things to do in Pigeon Forge with kids. This massive medieval castle is home to four awesome attractions: a Harry Potter-esque role-playing game, the world’s largest mirror maze, a Mission Impossible-style laser challenge, and blacklight mini golf. Guests can either choose to play one or two activities, or they can enjoy all four attractions for one low price.
4. Big Top Arcade
Big Top Arcade is the perfect place to spend a rainy day in the Smokies! This massive arcade features racing games, shooting games, and all of the classics. Instead of using tokens and tickets, Big Top utilizes a convenient card system that keeps track of your points. Be sure to head over to the arcade’s redemption center before you leave to exchange your points for some truly awesome prizes.
5. Dollywood
No vacation in Pigeon Forge is complete without a visit to Dollywood! Owned by Smoky Mountain native Dolly Parton, this hugely popular theme park is filled with thrill rides, music shows, arts and crafts, and tasty food. While some of the most exhilarating rides do have height requirements, the park offers plenty of family rides and kiddie rides as well, so children of all ages can have a blast at Dollywood.
6. Dollywood’s Splash Country
During the summer months, vacationers in Pigeon Forge can also visit Dollywood’s Splash Country, which is located right next door to the theme park. Ranked among the top 10 water parks in the U.S. by TripAdvisor, Splash Country offers a variety of thrilling slides and rides for families to enjoy. One of the most exciting recent additions to the waterpark is TailSpin Racer, a six-lane water slide that is five stories tall and 100 yards long.
