4 Benefits of Staying at Our Hotel Close to Dollywood for the Gospel & Harvest Celebration
Vacationing at our hotel close to Dollywood is always a great experience, but it is extra special during the fall! Throughout the month of October, the theme park hosts its annual National Southern Gospel & Harvest Celebration. This wonderful festival features great music, handmade crafts, and everything we love about autumn in Pigeon Forge.
When you stay at All Season Suites, you’ll be just a five minute drive from Dollywood! Here are three benefits of staying close to the theme park during the Harvest Celebration.
1. Over 350 Free Gospel Concerts to Enjoy
As part of the Harvest Celebration, Dollywood hosts some of the biggest names in southern gospel music for a series of concerts. In years past, performers have included Guy Penrod, Karen Peck & New River, and the Booth Brothers. The best part about these concerts is that they are completely free with park admission! If you have a Dollywood season pass, you could theoretically see more than 350 shows at the theme park.
Guests at our hotel close to Dollywood will never be far from all of the fantastic music at the festival. To see this year’s concert schedule, check out the official list of southern gospel performers at Dollywood.
In addition to all of the great southern gospel musicians, the Harvest Celebration also brings over 40 talented craftspeople to Dollywood. Hailing from all over the country, these artisans are happy to demonstrate their crafts for the theme park’s guests. Visitors will also have the chance to pick up beautiful handmade souvenirs that they won’t find anywhere else.
Some of the products you can expect to find at the park include jewelry, paintings, pottery, textile art, woodworking, chainsaw carvings, dulcimers, flutes, stained glass, ornaments, and so much more. The artisans will be located at booths throughout Dollywood.
3. Tasty Autumn Flavors
As part of the Harvest Celebration, Dollywood’s restaurants roll out special fall-themed menus. Autumn is the season for freshly picked apples and corn, and this is reflected in a number of delectable dishes at the theme park. For a mouthwatering sweet treat, head over to the Grist Mill for some just baked cinnamon bread. Nothing tastes better on a cool fall day than this warm snack.
Of course, if you visit Dollywood after having breakfast at All Season Suites, it may be a little while before you’re hungry! Our complimentary breakfast includes Belgian waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and our famous made-to-order omelets. With a breakfast this hearty, we suggest having a late lunch at the theme park.
If you want to avoid paying the $12 parking fee at Dollywood, you can take the Pigeon Forge Fun Time Trolley to the theme park! All Season Suites is less than a block away from a trolley stop, making it very convenient to leave your car behind. Trolley rides are only 50 cents each way, and guests are dropped off at Dollywood’s entrance.
